Please read these before relying on anything on Broadband for Education.

General information only

Everything on this site is general information about connectivity for further and higher education and skills providers in the UK. It is not procurement, legal or technical advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from someone who knows your institution. Arrangements differ between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and things change. Check the current Jisc and government guidance and your own procurement rules before you buy.

Accuracy

We research each page from the sources listed on it and show when it was last checked, but we can’t promise that every page is complete, correct or current for your situation. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for loss arising from reliance on the site.

The estimator and checklist

The bandwidth estimator multiplies the figures you enter and simplifies a great deal; it is not a network design. The checklist is a prompt, not a complete list of everything to check.

The supplier directory

Listing a company isn’t a recommendation or an endorsement, and leaving one out isn’t a criticism. Descriptions are based on what companies say publicly unless marked as verified. Company names are used only to identify them. Suppliers who send us details confirm they are accurate; we may edit or decline any listing.

Independence

Broadband for Education is an independent guide. It is not a broker or a supplier, and it is not owned by, or connected to, Jisc, any network provider, framework or government body.
